EAP Malaysia is the pioneer of the arrangement of Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) therapy in Malaysia and was started by Wisconsin early autism project malaysia Autism Project (WEAP) in September 2006. For all therapists, a first training including 20 hours of courses and 3 weeks on hand-held training is called for before beginning work with a youngster with autism after which normal fortnightly otherwise weekly guidance is supplied via routine overlaps and group conferences.
Furthermore, WEAP's published research in the American Journal of Mental Deficiency (November 2005 concern) followed Dr. Ivar Lovaas' study in 1987 and 1993 whereby 48% of the children that took part in the extensive behavioural treatment had the ability to capture up and take part efficiently in regular college.
