Adhering to these rules is imperative for the safety of students and the space. Failure to do so will result in loss of Makerspace privileges.

Access

  • No students are permitted in the Makerspace without faculty supervisor.
  • Only students with a valid badge may use the corresponding equipment independently.

Safety

  • Before using any tool, identify hazards and describe how to mitigate them.
  • Wear appropriate PPE.
  • Any accident, no matter how small, must be immediately reported to the faculty supervisor.
  • You are responsible for turning off any equipment you use, especially hot glue guns, soldering tools, laser, ventilation, etc.
  • Leave food/drinks outside the Makerspace.

Organization

  • Most tools and supplies and tools have labels indicating where they go. Put them back where in the correct place.
